What to Expect from Your Initial Visit

The diagnosis of a hepatobiliary or pancreatic condition can be frightening. At ALPS, we are here to help you understand these complex diseases and guide you through the advanced treatment options best suited for your care.

Your doctor will send us the initial referral information. We ask that you bring with you any biopsy results, medication lists, medical records that you have, insurance information, and radiology studies (CT scan, MRI, PET, etc.). Most imaging centers and hospitals can provide you with a compact disc (CD) containing your imaging studies. For your convenience, you may be scheduled for scans on the same day as your appointment.

When you arrive, you will be asked to fill out some initial paper work. Some patients will receive this at their home to complete prior to their office visit. We encourage patients to bring significant family members with them. After the consultation, you may require blood work and diagnostic testing.
